Luvvy is a voice and video calling app for adults. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. This page sets out the standards we hold ourselves to, how anyone can report a concern, and what we do when a report reaches us. It is published to meet the child safety requirements of the Google Play Developer Programme and applicable law.
1. Adults only
- Luvvy is for people aged 18 and over. Users confirm their date of birth during onboarding, and hosts complete identity (KYC) verification before they can receive calls or payouts.
- Accounts that we believe belong to a minor are suspended without notice, and any funds or earnings on them are frozen while we review.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we delete it.
2. Prohibited content and behaviour
The following are banned on Luvvy and lead to immediate, permanent removal:
- Any sexual content involving a minor, including images, video, audio, text, or live camera footage, whether real, edited or generated.
- Grooming, solicitation or sexualised communication with anyone who is, or appears to be, under 18.
- Sextortion, threats, or attempts to obtain sexual content from a minor.
- Sharing links, contact details or instructions that lead to child sexual abuse material (CSAM) anywhere else.
- Attempting to bring a minor onto the platform, including creating an account on their behalf.
3. How we prevent and detect abuse
- In-app reporting. Every profile, call and room has a report option that goes straight to our moderation team. Reports involving a possible minor are triaged first.
- Blocking. Any user can block another instantly; the blocked person can no longer see or call them.
- Human review. Every report is reviewed by a person. We do not rely on automated decisions alone for CSAE cases.
- Verified hosts. Hosts must pass identity verification, so the people receiving calls are known adults.
4. How to report a concern
If you see something on Luvvy that involves a child, report it right away using any of these routes:
- In the app: open the person's profile or the call screen, tap the flag icon, choose the category that fits, and add details. You can also report from your call history.
- By email: write to support@luvvy.app with the subject line "Child safety". Include the username or phone number involved, when it happened, and anything you saw.
- In an emergency: if a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police first. In India, call Childline on 1098 or the police on 112.
You do not need an account to report by email, and you can report anonymously.
5. What happens after a report
- CSAE reports are reviewed within 24 hours, ahead of every other report type.
- Where a report is credible, the account is suspended immediately while we investigate, and any related accounts on the same device are reviewed.
- Confirmed CSAM is removed, preserved as evidence in line with legal requirements, and reported to the relevant authorities, including the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and the Indian National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal, as applicable.
- We cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement and keep records needed for investigations.
- Where the law allows, we tell the reporter when the case is closed.
6. Compliance with law
Luvvy complies with all applicable child protection laws, including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) and the Information Technology Act in India, and with child safety reporting obligations in the regions where the app is available. We review these standards at least once a year and whenever the law or our product changes.
